catching up...

8.07.2009

well...a little...it's been a busy summer week with friends and trips and pool and even started some school type things this week. i know this time of year always comes around, but yet again, i am still not ready for school to start...we have fully relished our summer and the layouts in this post are a very small part of that.

this first one was for the weekly challenge last week at 2p's. it was a reverse pop dot technique. using pop dots (which i have already been doing alot), it creates a reverse dimension. i used a template from the punched out october afternoon road map die cut shapes, i cut out a space in the vactioner motel road map paper for a journaling spot. then layered o/a sundowner hotel lined paper underneath to actually hold the journaling. made for a fun effect that i want to implement again...soon.

here's a close up of what i mean...

this next layout is my answer to the LEO 14 challenge at willow traders: to lift one of your favorite designers. i chose jamie waters. she is such a talent. using this layout of hers i did the second page to the above layout and got the rest of my photos on my spread. this was a great way to use up element stash, get multiple photos on one page, and continue to try and kill that Aug WIP kit...that kit just won't quit.

happy blogging ladies...i'll be around soon to visit you all.
