completed project

10.07.2009

i would have to say that this sewing project was probably one of the biggest i have ever tackled. i learned so much working through this. above all i learned that i do NOT know how to sew on a zipper! so, don't look too closely at the end result.
however, i am not discouraged. i embrace the imperfections. learn from them. and am eager to improve on those weaknesses. hmm...sounds alot like life. art reflecting life? or life reflecting art? what do you think?

  1. Jamiie...this is just lovely. Don't worry about the zipper...anyone looking that closely has "issues"...lol I know what you mean about zippers though...I hate them...and the darn patterns do not make it easy to follow their instructions. It's the same way with pant legs...I cannot tell you how many times I have sewn the inside seams the wrong way...especially when you using plain fabrics...so I learned to clearly mark the inside and outsides of the fabric. Good thing I only made costumes and not real clothes...lol Have a great day, Roberta

  3. Yeah, Jamie!! I am not bad at quilting, but doing a costume or clothing would seriously intimidate me for sure. Glad you did it--and she'll remember that you made it for her always!!
