another gift for mom...

5.18.2011

This time the gift was for MY mother.
My Dad most recently has been scanning his slide collection into digital files.
He is most meticulous about the affair. He is tagging them. Dating them. And gifting them.
I requested some throw back photos of my mother and I.
Then altered tags and mini bags and what not with these sweet photos and housed them in the 7gypsies mini drawer.

Trish at WIP put this kit together for the May project kit. I had to have it! She loaded it with little bags, tags of all sizes. Vintage envelopes. Apothecary stickers. I had to lay it all out in order to get my head around what all I had to play with.

The mini drawer is by no means filled up...yet. But I will continue to add photos and tags and what not to my Mom's gift. She was so happy to receive it. I was so happy to put it together for her.

I simply layered and layered. Paper, and tickets and seam binding and and doilies and photos and...well...love.

I added alot of my own stash to this project as well. I recently HAD to have the Daily Junque stamp set, and went to work with those lovely images here and there. You can see the adorable border stamp peeking out in these photos.

Some of the mini bags have tags with photos on them. Some of the mini bags have a tag with a quote for my Mom journaled to it.

Trish added some little flags to this kit. I added words to the tabs of the naked tabs.

I did not even use half of the items included in this kit. It was amazing. I picked up another drawer recently. I will be eager for the time to make one for me. These photos are so precious to my heart.

This was an act of joy for me. Loving how gifts of the heart touch people. I love knowing what will touch other people. And that in turn blesses me immensely.

My Mom and her many 'do's' So very fun.

Thank you for dropping by. Hope you found a little inspiration here.
