celebrating spring

3.26.2012

ah...spring actually feels like it is here.
and that is saying a lot for these parts.
we are enjoying our warm temps...but wary that there might be a big spring snow storm brewing yet.

For this weeks contribution to creative team tuesdays over at Rhonna's I created an altered hybrid frame.
This frame is inspired by so many things.
like Margie's Spark Your Spring.
And Rhonna's hybrid easter wreath.
and so many things to love on pinterest

The piece starts with a very old frame that has been painted and altered so many times...
The corner edge is adorned with
coffee dyed doilies.
book paper leaves.
coffee dyed coffee filters made to flowers.
fringed masking paper.
starburst spring circus background paper with a little pearl in the middle.
brown sheer ribbon.
a celebration notched cut word embellishment from the easter celebrations printable sayings
a little hot glue therapy and wa-lah! a new favorite piece hanging over my mantle.

the word spring was taken from the easter celebrations: printable sayings and circle punched, attached to twine,
and hung in the other corner of the frame.
so inspired by this piece.
