prayer journal

11.02.2012

recently i was challenged to keep a prayer journal...
i have never kept a prayer journal before.
so of course...

it had to be pretty.
it had to be unique.
it had to be handmade.
so I put several of HeidiSwapp's products to work to create all the above.

the base of it is the middle section of a ChipboardMemoryFile.
that was covered in VintageChic Handwritten pattern paper.
then i took one of the VintageChic MemoryFiles and trimmed it in half for a partial cover.
that made my cover in which i layered a doily and die cuts and ColorMagicNoteCards in Tinsel.
the layering also includes PaperBanners, MiniFileTab, Trimmings and a PinkPaislee Artisan Chipboard heart.
I adore layers right now, and the nature of this journal really needed soft layers with a bit of a vintage vibe.

the top flap opens to an inner page.
again more layering.
plus a pocket that holds an Openable in which I will be placing prayer quotes as I come across them.

For now I have a kraft pad attached to the back part of the chipboard file and will use these pages to hold my prayers...and answers.

This sits sweetly on my nightstand. I love how pretty it is and that it draws me in and invites me to use it daily.

now go...
create something pretty just for you today.
