four days of pop

6.03.2013

Happy June to you !!!
There is a new series starting this week over at Heidi Swapp.
The team is taking four different Color Pop items...
plus three more items to compliment,
and coming up with fabulous projects and layouts.

This one is highlighted today on the blog.
With product details...
as well as some instructions.

It's a layout I actually made just for me!
The mother of the guy who took the girl to junior prom.

It's an exercise in high contrast for me too.
I tend to create with softer hues.

But obviously the inspiration came from the outfits...

As well as the rose photo.

But then I did not stop there...

I made another layout with the same four items that I share in the original post over at heidiswapp.com.

This time the Black Pop  is the main focal point.
Yet playing with many of the same elements.
Black white & red.
Sweet Cherry and Tinsel Color Shine.
And plenty of layers.

These are my parents at a photo shoot we did for Christmas.
Arent' they stinkin' cute?
That's sort of kind of how they are very often.

The circles are punched from  Color Magic Notes.
They were sprayed first with Color Shine.
And then circled punched.
I really liked the contrast of the smaller print of the Note against the bolder diagonal of the Black Pop Color Pop paper.

Did I tell you I love layers?
The dimensions they create add depth to a photo layout and help the story to pop off the page.

So have fun and pick out some Color Pop and a few other items,
and create a few different layouts with only a few products as your starting point.
oh...and enjoy it.
oh and come back to visit Heidi's blog tomorrow for the next project in this series.
