Today's project is brought to you by Paige Evans + Silhouette. The new team has just recently been posted and I will be sharing project ideas from her collections as well as her Silhouette Cut Files for the next 6 months of the term.
This Loving This layout is the latest.

The butterfly is one of my most favorite icons. And one of my favorite kind of cut files is an 'open' cut file, just like this cut found above and HERE. It brings an ethereal feel to a page and was a perfect element for layering. I just found this cut file super easy to work with.
On the white cardstock background paper, I layered two strips of Paige Evans pattern paper. Actually these were two scraps I literally had stashed with some off cuts. And from there yellow became the color of the page.

After the butterfly was anchored on the pattern paper I cut these Branches from yellow cardstock. Several were cut and just layered out from the center of the main cut. Right now I am really loving this layering of cut file on cut file, color on white. Oy...I need some time to just play again...can anyone relate to that emotion?

Another Paige cut file I am using over and over again is this Flower Garden Background file. This is a must have in your cut file inventory. Not only does it cut small, delicate flowers, but I like to use the negative for a background stencil as you can see on this page.

When crafting these single photo layouts with large icons and several uses of pattern and cut files, a black and white photo is best. This layout represents this girl in a challenging place, yet allowing her wings to be open as she moves through the best that life was bringing her at this time. I love how we can take cut files, beautiful icons, paper and paint, and draw on the emotion of a photo to craft a story of photo, words, plus pretty things.
