cards that are all heart

Welcome to February.
If you follow my feed on Instagram you know that I was absent the last part of January. I have every intention to revisit that as it is some serious story. But for now...let's talk about love.
Because...
February is all about love, right?
Right.

This project was a post for the Paige Evans + Silhouette Design Team. It was actually my last assignment for that design team. And I never had the chance to post. But it's perfect for right now, is it not? Yes. It is.

Here's how these cards went.

First I used each of the cut files and cut them to a 6x6 -inch stencil.

Using one of my favorite Texture Pastes, I spread texture paste through the stencil to cover 6x6 white cardstock. This texture paste is beautiful to work with. It has great body so it stands up to cardstock stencils perfectly. It dries quickly. And it has this great matte finish that plays lovely against the textured cardstock.

Each card then had it's own texture unique to it's own card. Then I just used wood veneer and ephemera and pattern paper from Paige's Truly Grateful to create the sentiment and embellishment cluster on each card.

This background was made the same way as described above, but I added a bit of stamp ink color to the paste. All these cards are what I call a variation on a theme.

This card uses the same coloring technique as the previous card. How simple yet pretty can this get? A banner from the ephemera. Then a couple of notched tags from pattern paper is tucked up underneath. And then of course a wood veneer heart. This may be my favorite card.

Back to the white texture paste background. Plus a Truly Grateful Tag. Pattern paper. Oh..and...sequins...because I adore those Truly Grateful Sequins.

OK...four stencils. Four cards. One collection. And a lot of love shared with those who will receive your beautiful textured cards.
