Today I am posting on the Heidi Swapp blog a card idea. A sort of fresh card idea. A card idea I had not played with before. But when I did start to play, I pretty much was obsessed.

Using this Stitched Slots Thinlit Die from Tim Holtz I went to crafting an idea inside of one of the Bazzill Cards.

This die is one I almost passed over. But then I thought, hmmm, what the heck. Let's give it a try.

You can find that die right here:

This die was just a lot of fun to play with. Creating slots on the inside of this card I was then able to add in tags and journal spots for notes. Along with Old School Ephemera and other items found in my stash this created it's own layers of embellishment. It was very gratifying to simply add and adhere elements to this card.

The base of the cards is part of the Bazzill Cards and Envelopes range that is now available at JoAnn Stores. These cards are very sturdy. That was helpful when adding in all these elements to the inside. Plus I chose colors that would create congruent color stories with the Old School PaperLine.

There was really no wrong or right way about adding in pieces to the slots. It became its own sort of creative crafty therapy. And who doesn't want that?

Here's a look at how this all came together. A step by step view so you can get to making these cards too.
