OK...are you interested to know some favorite and always reached for tools? Do you have a set of craft room tools always at the ready for your story telling? Have you found good brands that serve you well?

Five Favorite Craft Room Tools

Today in this post, I was motivated to talk a little about some of my tools that I am always reaching for. Now, as an affiliate with ScrapbookCom, while I am encouraged to share products from their exclusive line, don't get me wrong, I strive for authenticity in these posts too. There are some products that are not my favorite.

But the following are.

These here new ScrapbookCom scissors are fast becoming a favorite. I love me a smallish scissor that cuts easily and precisely. This is a basic must have tool for any crafter, right? Well. Yes, of course. This pair shown here are 5 inches in length. That gripper makes them easy to hold. They are light weight and not cumbersome. And the cuts are clean and crisp. I used them here to fancy cut the stamped heart for my layout. I love to make embellishments from stamps, and these scissors were there for the making.

The next craft room basic tool is adhesive. This 1/8 Inch Double Sided Adhesive Roll is truly one of my favorite double sided adhesives. That thin size serves me so well. While there are many ways to adhere die cuts to a page, I usually cut strips of adhesive for that purpose. (Side note: I keep a designated pair of scissors for cutting adhesive so that my 'good' scissors stay nice and clean.)

This particular roll of adhesive is 81 feet! of adhesive goodness. I mostly love this double sided-ness for making pockets or adhering paper mini albums together. It's a good way to make sure my attachments stay right where I need them too.

There are other sizes too, the 1/4 Inch is also used very often in this craft room. Here I really wanted to show off the 1/8 Inch size as it hides wonderfully behind the number die cut.

OK...the third craft room tool (in no particular order) is the Ink Blender Tool. Why do I love this tool so much? And while the colors seem super soft here, I love this tool for blending ink through stencils. I love to add color to edges of tags and cards and scrapbook pages. I love to ink vellum to create colored backgrounds for stamp sentiments. This is sort of a new to me tool in the past year. Now I am finding I cannot craft a page or tag or card without it. So while these tools here are not necessarily my top 5 tools...they are part of my favorite and most used, and this Ink Blending Tool falls neatly into that category. (And yes, I have way more than one with my most used colors ready on the go to use..)

Stamp blocks! Yes! Because I am stamping like a crazy woman these days. So...more than one stamp block is always on my desk here there and yonder as I am using them ALL. THE. TIME.

I am a fan of these well made acrylic blocks that work great with all the photopolymer stamps I have been collecting lately. Its most helpful to have more than one size at the ready. The circle block is one of my favorites for alpha stamps. (It's currently sold out so just click the Notify Me so you can know when available again.) They clean up fantastic with hand sanitizer. But more importantly, they do what they are suppose to do...they are a good tool to help me make good stamp impressions every time.

Stamps. Stamps. Stamps. Yeah yeah! Ha! Not sure what I am more obsessed about currently: stamps or butterflies. Did you just call me obsessed?

Now. Stamps may not be actually called a tools...but that's what I am calling them. They fall in the category of 'non-consumable', right? So technically I can call them a tool. They are available and have such versatility. Stamps seem to be on trend presently. And there are so many good ones out there.

For this layout alone I used the following stamp sets:

Spring Animals

Wordfetti Best Day Ever

Wordfetti Oh So Happy

Graduation

Memories

It's just my way. Lots of stamps. Lots of creative happiness.

I hope this inspires you to take a look at your favorite craft room tools. Are they easily accessible? Are they in good working order? Do they need an upgrade? Or do you even maybe need to reconsider what is important to have at the ready?

Leave me a comment sharing with me what you think your most important and used tool is. And also if you would like me to continue this as a series.

    1. Oh thanks, Martha! I love to hear that you are 'growing'. Word stamp placement takes practice. I just play a lot off the page. It serves so many things. Oh and do tell...who is your favorite junk journaler to watch???
