daily something:
*finished advent project
*learned to be flexible: again. planned to put up the childrens tree, and had to simplyify that plan and remember that it did not have to happen today.
*cleaned and moved furniture in front room to ready for christmas tree.
*removed all fall decorations. i love my fall decorations. will post here this years projects:
this one was inspired by stampin ups holiday mini catalog.
papers: stampin up. daisy d.
chipboard: stampin up.
acrylic paints.
this was inspired by ali e. she posted one earlier in the month with holiday words for christmas. i love thanksgiving, and wanted to expand on all that the word and holiday meant. i made my own tags, about 2x3 and attached eyelets to the tops. strung ribbon through them and hung them on a mini tree for the center of the dining room. it was a joy to come downstairs every morning and have it greet me with words of thankfulness.
this next project was alot of fun to put together. i did not 'think' too much on this, i just found several autumnal patterned papers that i loved, and started punching and pasting. the stickers and chipboard was stash i already had. won't bother listing the papers here...look forward to getting this back out next year.
and then there are the fall letters...what would my house be if there wasn't some sort of font hanging around somewhere. found the letters at hobby lobby last year, and used my fav daisy d papers to cover. edged them in brown paint.
and this was my favorite project of all...the girls outfits for the month. we studied the pilgrims this past month. bought a great book from vision forum about priscilla mullins. so, avery was priscilla, gracie was emily, and analise was elizabeth. they all wanted engligh names to go with their parts. the sewing project was alot of work, and more than i realized i was getting into, but it was worth it and i think they really enjoyed the fun.
so now the end of another season. i loved the weather this year. many mild days in the sun were enjoyed. seth's birthday was perfectly spent at the park. analise's at the denver zoo. a new school year. a new awana year. paul and i celebrated 18 years together in boulder. bren ran in for a quick visit or two. it was busy, but it was good as well. i am thankful for the simplicity of the good things.
