valentines around the house.

2.07.2009

finally getting january's wintery home decor down and february up. it's almost like christmas to pull down the seasonal boxes and re-discover what creations are waiting for their turn on the calendar to be shown off again.

my new favorite flower right now is tulips. along with my new favorite color right now of red, they together make me smile. i love having fresh flowers in the house, and am aiming to keep that love up. why...simply because they make me smile.

the canvas and framed art are creations from last year. so glad for my new love of red. it was so great to find these again and find new homes for them for the month.

the canvas was painted with making memories cranberry. i love that color! i made my own heart masks and temporarily attached to the canvas while i painted over them. the stamps are autumn leaves, the thickers are american crafts and the love stamp is heidi swapp. fun and easy.

using an frame from my stash, i painted it up a bit and used last years making memories love line. that was a good collection. the background paper was one of their ledger patterns.

these love letters are from a set of three that were published in paper crafts this fall. this one is simply painted in making memories manila and then stamped with a autumn leaves stamp. the others to this set are a bit more embellished, but i like the simplicity of just the stamped image.

i think i have one of these paper collages for almost every month of the year. this is inspired by ali e's piece that she has in her holiday projects. great way to use up stash and just have fun. it hangs inside a floating frame on a wall.
so that's what is making me smile around my house right now. so, what how do you show off your home decor creations?

have a great weekend....
