hey girls...hope this sunday finds you refreshed and ready to take on a new week. hopefully you had an opportunity to join in community worship and feel renewed.

today i want to share a super simple mini album i put together here this weekend. to say i kept it simple would be an understatement. borrowing a line from ali edwards it truly is photo+words. this album is for my sister-in-law who just recently visited with her family. the album stays with some basic highlights from their visit, and no fancy schmancy embellishing at all. when i do an album for someone else as a gift, i keep it as low key as possible with the intent that it will be something they will want to keep out, as well as keep the focus on the photos and the memories that go along with it.

so here's what i did.

first i cut my own chipboard into 4x8. not only is this just a great size in your hand, but one can use 4x6 photos and not need to cut or crop hardly if any at all. for the cover i used some of the fabulous making memories great escape paper. i simply wrapped the front in some vintage string, layered on some flowers, added a label and a date. the patterened paper is so pretty it just did not need alot.

i used the corner chomper to round the outside edges AFTER all the paper and photos were in place. love that tool...GO GET ONE!!!

i am really sorry about these photos...they are not what i had hoped for...having camera issues currently. anyhow...to keep it simple i used either just a simple word sticker as in above...

or some rubons adhered to a couple of cardstock circles...

or a quote sticker....

or some digital elements...

or a series of word stickers....

and that's all i did to make this quick and simple and doable. just did the same thing over and over again. i will probably utilize this method again and again, as it just so wonderfully accomplishes the idea of a great little book in hand remembering a sweet time with family.

now...have a great sunday!!!
