a new year

1.01.2010

happy new year!

here we go.

new beginnings are wonderful, no?

yes.

they are.

the phrase that continues to run through my head with the passing into a new year is 'old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new'.

i am loving that.

i am finding it very, very true already.

the year holds many new roads for us.

a new journey that's marked by the date of a new year.

i'm not one for resolutions. i would not even know where to begin.

i am one, however, for one little word.

am in the process of deciding on one little word.

almost there.

hoped to have decided by now.

but even in the last day life has taken some un expected changes, and now i am not quite sure.

last years word was seek.

and that has come full circle in a miraculous way.

i gave up on that word many times.

it was a spiritual journey with that word.

and sometimes, many times i failed miserably.

but that was o.k.

because victory was had over the big picture of this past year.

ali e has a great post today on the subject of one little word. but of course she would.

i envy her word. story. great word.

so how about you? are you in? are you in with one little word?

would love to hear your story.
oh and...happy new year!

Ali's word is good, yours is great! It's a verb, it's action meets reflection, or the other way around?!

    Hugs~

  3. I await your word. I am sure it will be fab. Seek was a great word for last year. This year - I choose focus - focus on one thing at a time, focus on God's gifts, Focus on the positive, Focuson the outcome, focus on today - let God handle tomorrow. So I wish you great focus next year my friend. Glad you will be along for the ride!

  5. Hi Jamie,
I really enjoy your site and the whole concept of "a word". I don't make resolutions but I did choose a word for 2010. The word is Faith. Faith in God, faith in myself, and faith in the idea that if I can become all I am meant to be if I put one foot in front of the other! Every bit of progress is progress!
    Happy New Year,
    Diane
