scrap jackin'

7.14.2010

i have recently developed a new scrap crush on jennifer johner. i keep finding her eveyrwhere…well…not everywhere…but you know what I mean. she guest designed for studio calico recently, and she is also a garden girl at two p's. i'm totally plugging her work.
i saw this layout called hop scotch…

...and then lifted it myself. it was simple fun. with as hot as it has been, and as so very uncomfortable i am feeling, along with still wanting to play in my creative world, sometimes for me it’s just easier to scrap jack someone...

her use of many different patterned paper is what initially drew me into her creativity. the abundant use of flowers, and butterflies that follow no hard lines. playing with these ideas has been an exercise in walking outside of my linear box. i am a bit cranky these days in this 90+ weather and trying to keep my kids busy and happy and really just wanting this baby out of my body. so the therapy that this walk on the ‘wild’ side has provided for me has been very, very helpful. really. i think it’s true.
go scrap somebody that is outside your box and just enjoy the discovery.

  1. I think it is a great idea to scraplift someone you admire and you picked a great LO to do it! With a wonderful result! Your page has an airy feeling just like Jennifer's! Great job!
