mini kits

8.29.2011

i love me a travel mini.
i love me a mini kit.
i love these inspiring mini kits sellers::
monika is always inspiring.
debee is extremely tempting.
and evalicious has long inspired me too.
but why should i buy...when i can make my own?

in preparation for an upcoming weekend get away, i started pulling items from my stash. oh...my ever loving stash. there is plenty to pull from. thus the reason not to go and buy more...although i am tempted...ever so tempted...but compelled to use what i have and make it beautiful.
so here is what i pulled together for my scrapbook on the road mini kit (as inspired by professional mini kit sellers)::
8~5.5 x 4 pattern and textured papers
2~hand dyed seam binding ribbons
1~mini clip
1~binder clip
1~mini coin envelope
1~pattern journaling tag
1~kraft scallop tag
1~mini tag
1~ledger scallop date tag
2~sticker labels
1~blank ticket
1~mini map scallop tag
1~vintage flower
1~large clear gem
1~chipboard circle
1~flower button
1~chipboard arrow
1~starburst sequin
1~mini safety pin
1~cardstock flower
1~"together"clip
1~"summer of" sticker
1~message label
1~lined journal tag

one can easily spend $25 for one of these kits. but i challenge you to come up with your own. and how i would love to see what you pull together. let me know if you take me up on this challenge.

will show off this book in it's completed form after my getaway!

  4. Love what you put together! I think I will play along too! I have so much to pull from, ha! I just brought in a box full of stuff to give a co-worker for her niece to create with. Although, I am loving some of the new lines out there. Saving up my extra $ for www.sparktheevent.com in October so will shop from my own stash to play along. Thanks for the inspiration! Hugs from Conroe, TX!
