Paper Craft Subscription Review by Jamie Pate | @jamiepate

card crafting subscription box style
Today’s post is a bit of a segue from the usual line up.
I was sent a box from  The Paper Crate.
The Paper Crate is a card making subscription box company.

The owner, Shannon Silverman, is the main designer for The Paper Crate.

The site, thepapercrate.comis home to the subscription based card kit shop. There you will find access to their store, events and classes, past boxes, as well as their blog and Etsy Store.

I received the March box and will be reviewing that kit today.

This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of jamiepate.com. I did receive material product from The Paper Crate to develop this craft posts, but all ideas and opinions are my own.

I was impressed with the quality of the step-out instructions. These are very clear instructions printed on high quality card stock. This gave a real professional impression to the educational aspect of the monthly subscription box.

As is my way, I took to gathering supplies to craft my own card. Included in the kit this month was a thank you gift of a stencil. I’m all heart eyes over the stencil.  Not photo'd here, but it was used in my card creation.

This would be a great monthly box for beginning card makers, for paper crafters who want to dip their toe into card crafting. Or for those who want to produce cards with the joy of someone else’s instruction. That may be major motivation in and of itself. All the hard work has been done gathering supplies as well as the how-to. Because sometimes, we just want to make stuff.

People love getting mail that is not bills or junk mail. On a personal note, I have been striving to up my game for making cards and sending them out this month. I believe now more than ever friends just need a note now and again. A lovingly handmade card has amazing impact when that unsuspecting someone receives at the end of their harried day.

A card kit box may be just what one needs to motivate them to share the simplicity of hand crafts and thoughtfulness.
