how to add layers of florals

happy life on a page

Today's post brought to you by traditional page layout+cut files+fussy cutting.
A few of my favorite things.

This is a new favorite page. (Do I say that every time?) And one of the newest additions to this daughter's photo album.  This is also an assignment for Paige Evans + Silhouette Design Team. You can see that post HERE.

I wanted to craft a fairly straightforward page. I knew I wanted to use yellow...so I brought the Whimsical Paper Line into play. And I knew I wanted to use a floral cut file + layers of flower to bring interest to this page. Think this is mission accomplished.

Using the Floral Wreath Cut File found HERE, I just cut a part of the wreath that was mostly flower. The grey dot Paper No. 21 was used for this cut.

The solid yellow flowers are left over from another project. For those cuts I used the Garden Background also by Paige Evans. May be my favorite cut file.
In addition, I used Paper No. 7 and fussy cut the pattern flowers. Man do I love how this turned out. The dimension plus all the yellow and the layers. I am such a nerd about paper!!!

The cuts were layered in and around the Seriously sticker. The 'happy life' cut away was trimmed out from Paper 13. Those cut aways make for great embellishment pieces. I am using this technique all the time.

So here is to finding happy on a page. Playing with cut files and fussy cuts that make you giddy with joy. And to telling your stories along the way.
