New Year Scrapbook Album Cover Page with Heidi Swapp Minc Technique

New Year. New album. New cover page.

Happy New Year, friends!
Don't you just love a New Year?
Line in the sand.
What is old is old.
What is new is new.
And for me that is a brand new album with brand new stories that starts with a brand new cover page for that album.

Every year I start my new album with a cover page that holds my people's right now photo. Today's post is about showing you just how I did just that.

Using a Twenty Cut File from Rhonna Farrer, I created a title card that is built up to add depth and dimension to the title. This title page is also backed up with Silver Squares Reactive Minc Foil.

It's a great way to bring a lot of attention to a title. To create a focal point for a scrapbook page. As well as make a page just a little more fancy for the occasion.

I've included a video tutorial that shows just how the title card was crafted:

The rest of the page is pretty straight forward. I printed each of our current photos into 1-inch sized copies. Printed them out in a strip and added to the page just right under the title card.
The title was completed by adding the rest of the '20' with Wolf Pack Alpha Thickers.

Remember my tip from the video: when using adhesive to add foil to a surface, set the Minc Machine to the 1 setting. The adhesive does not need heat, but rather pressure. Trust me on this.

This is a great technique to use for any paper craft idea you have. Cards. Tags. Planner embellishments. Or make it big and use the Minc Foil Backed Cut File for a title page just like here.
