Crafting MemoryDex Cards from Boxed Stationery by Jamie Pate for Heidi Swapp

combining MemoryDex and stationery cards

It's been a month of creating MemoryDex daily.
This National Craft Month is wrapping up.
As is my #30daysofcreativity.

That's not to say that I don't create everyday already. I actually do. It's an exercise that has taken me years to cultivate.
But for the month of March, all things dedicated to MemoryDex, this particular creative endeavor is coming to an end.

For a final post on the month with regards to MemDex cards, I am taking a different direction than I have most of the month.
March was inspired by hues of green and blue. I LOVED playing with colors that I do not usually dabble in. That in itself was a creative stretch for me.

But the month is going to end with some Color Fresh shades of pink. And pink.
Still using MemoryDex dies.
Still adding to my every growing spinner.
But this time I am using the Boxed Cards from that ColorFresh Paperline to create a few new cards.

The first card was trimmed out a bit. Then placing the Tabbed Die to the top edge of the card, I was able to cut on the fold as seen below.

The card is still a card since the die was cut at the top of the fold.

The card was trimmed out at the bottom so then the card can open up and be interactive while it is on the MemoryDex Spinner. It was just a fun twist on a card + MemoryDex dies.
Embellish the front as desired.

The next card was the opposite. The die was cut with the card fold at the bottom.

See how now the MemoryDex card opens at the top? Another fun twist.

I punched ColorFresh Pattern Paper in a circle. Folded that in half, and stapled it to the top of the card. Again, the card can open and be interactive on the Spinner by just opening the card at the top.

The last card idea I played with was to now have the card fold on the left side. The Oval Die is now snuggled up against the left side to capture that fold.

You can see here in the image above how that now opens to the right side. Like a book.

I trimmed the right side top of the card just a bit. Washi Tape was adhered to the inside of the card and peeks to the top.
You can't really open this card very well on the Spinner. But it's a fun way to have another layer of card 'hidden'. To add journaling or quote inside. Anything you can imagine. The possibilities are endless.

Three ColorFresh Stationery Cards. Three MemoryDex Dies. Three addtional ways to add to the MemoryDex collection found on a MemoryDex Spinner.
