Ooooookkkkkaaaaayyyy!!!
World Card Making Day is just around the corner. Like next week. And I am starting now. Because this girl is usually so late to the party. This time she is arriving very early and bringing dessert.
And too, this post is a repost of cards I made earlier in the year. They have since all been given away, (which is what you are supposed to do with them). Make 'em. Send 'em.
After the leaf and vine motif was doodled on the white tag, I then added some of the Color Fresh Washi tape to fold over the edge. The You Are One Of A Kind acetate tag was found in the Ephemera. A small hole was punched to the top and was threaded to the tag with baker's twine. While the Color Fresh elements are bright, I still think this palette would be perfect for fall. The black ink helps to pop the whole scheme of the tag and colors and sentiment. Now this tag can be pop dotted to a card front, or even used as a gift tag.
The pink ink scribbled heart served as the backdrop to the clear Oh Happy Day sticker. To begin, this card started off with a piece of Color Fresh Pattern Paper trimmed to a card size. Then the black stripe pattern paper was cropped to a tag size and v-notched to add interest. Once attached to the card base the next layer then was a piece of torn vellum. At this point I punched a small hole through the vellum, the notched tag, and the card base, and tied it all together with baker's twine. That little heart tag is actually a sticker, backed with cardstock, and also attached to the twine. Lastly, the scribbled heart was layered over everything and finished with the Oh Happy Day sticker. Ta dah!
Last card/tag was made with the hand lettered 'hi'. I punched that sentiment into a circle. To make this tag I trimmed Color Fresh Pattern Paper to 3x4-inches. The 'hi' was popped on the tag with dimensional tape. The Be You and the Heart are also from the Sticker Book, and they were adhered to the tag base. The two black sentiment phrase stickers come from that fabulous Color Fresh Sticker book, and I really liked how they wrapped this whole card together. The must have black and white striped ribbon was stapled to the top. And a few black paint splatters finished this off. (Actually, you may want to add those splatters in before starting this tag, allowing them to dry very well. Don't way I didn't warn you.)
And that's a wrap. Those are three simple cards to craft from just a few supplies from the same collection. I will link the collection below. And also each of the items I used to craft these cards.
Here's to hoping you find the mood to craft some hand made goodness this next week in honor of that wonderful tradition of Card Making. World Card Making Day (and weekend) could be just the thing to start a new habit in your life. Or rekindle a new one.
