Gift Idea: Heidi Swapp Blush MemoryDex Spinner

MemoryDex as a gift

MemoryDex is one of the most awesome creative mediums for us crafters and paper artist. But lately I have heard a lot of people talk about using it as a gift. A gift for this upcoming holiday season.

Here is an idea to go along with that

Gift Idea: Heidi Swapp Blush MemoryDex Spinner

Not only would that beautiful Blush MemoryDex Spinner be a great gift for someone on your list, but if you gave it to someone not crafty AND some pre-made photo cards as well? That would make for a most wonderful gift idea.

These cards I share with you today all include photos of my family and life around here. Not only will the Spinner all on it's own make a great gift, but if it includes MemoryDex cards already made that include photos too? I think that makes a great gift even better.

The first card I made is a large tag. The large tag was folded over and then I used the MemoryDex Hole Punch to punch the needed holes so that it will now fit on the Spinner. Basically I treated the MemoryDex card like a mini scrapbook page. As with all the cards included in this post, I added layers of Art Walk papers and Cardstock Stickers plus Definition Stickers. There is plenty of room for my journaling under the folded tag. That is one idea for one card to add to your Blush MemoryDex gift idea.

This next card is interactive too. The MemoryDex card was made using the MemoryDex Oval Die Set. I cut the card on the fold. The top of the card is techniqued pretty much like how I make all my MemoryDex Cards. Since it was cut on the fold, the card now opens up to reveal the story inside.

Inside I added a wallet sized photo. Using Photo Corners from the Definition Sticker pack gave the photo a good base. More papers were layered together. A tag was made from pattern paper and finishes up this tag.

The final tag for today's post is not interactive, but for sure incorporates plenty of scrapbook technique. I layered a trimmed piece of pattern paper over pattern paper that was cut with another one of the Dies. The top paper was popped up with dimensional foam tape. Art Walk Distress Stamps were added to the background. You can see the 'forever' stamp from the PostCard Set tucked in under the photo. A swatch of Washi Tape was added to the card. Then another Definition Sticker to add some words and attitude.

So here's the plan. Wrap up a Blush MemoryDex Spinner. Pre-make some photo MemoryDex Cards. Give to those on your gift list. Maybe even make more cards through out the year and just send the cards at random times. Talk about happy mail.

I hope this has inspired your gift list this year. I'm feeling all kinds of handmade gift giving will be in fashion this Christmas. Giving the MemoryDex Spinner and MemoryDex Cards is just but one way to give handmade this year.
