Blush MemoryDex Spinner For Christmas

what about a Blush MemoryDex Spinner for Christmas?

I have to be honest with you here. Which actually, I am always honest with you here. But I had not previously thought about the MemoryDex Spinner as a gift item before? Right?!?! I know! And why not? I don't have an answer for why not. It's actually a really good idea.

Here are five reasons the Blush MemoryDex Spinner would be a great gift:

  1. It's gorgeous and adorable. While that may be two reasons, I will wrap the aesthetics of the Spinner all into one of the reasons.
  2. It's unique. People don't even know they NEED the Blush MemoryDex Spinner until you wrap it and maybe add a few cards to it to get them started.
  3. It's a great decorative display piece. As I share in the video, what a great way to craft a mini album that is always on display.
  4. It's a great prompt for handmade. If you give this as a gift, well then you are going to need some pre-made cards on the Spinner. Thus supporting my 'this is going to be a huge handmade kind of Christmas' theory.
  5. It's one of the best ways to display a myriad of things: memories, photos, inspirational reminders, quotes, verses.

So. Now that we have that out of the way. Place that pretty spinner on your list for your friends, and let's make some MemoryDex cards to add to said spinner:

As I share in the video, this is one of the easiest DIY MemoryDex cards you could make. Take a look at next as to how this card came together.

This Merry card was first cut out using the Snowflake Die with glitter paper from the Art Walk Project Pad. See the video for the details regarding that die. The MemoryDex Hole Punch was employed to punch the Dex holes so that the card could then sit in the Spinner. Next, I used one of the pinks from the Smooth Cardstock Paper Pad to cut out the Merry from the Merry Christmas Sentiments Die Set. The Merry appears to float above the glittery die cut as I used the 1/8-inch Double Sided Adhesive Foam Strips to adhere to the card. I simply adore this MemoryDex Card.

Next card is a bit more technical. You will see in the video how I first die cut the tabbed MemoryDex card using the Tabbed Dies and another shade of pink from the Smooth Cardstock. Then the Dotted Stencil was used with the Ranger Stickles Glitter Gel in Nebula.

Do you see those stars in that Stickles??? gah!!! Love. Love.
The other part of the Merry Christmas Sentiments Die Set is the 'Christmas' die. More Smooth Cardstock contributed to that sentiment. Some layers of cardstock, and a phrase sticker from the Sticker Book made for yet another addition to this Christmas edition of MemoryDex cards.

This card also uses a stencil to create the background. Simply cut out the cardstock with the Oval Die Set. I grabbed the Trees Stencil and Ballet Slipper Ink to create the pattern. A gray tag die cut and glitter paper die cut with a holly die makes up all the layers to this card. Then in my layering style love I used a label and then a phrase sticker from the Sticker Book to finish the card with the perfect sentiment.
