easy last minute gift idea
Did you know it's Christmas next week. Yep. I'm your friendly elf remindig you of this stark reality.
So. With that anxiety ridden piece of information out of the way, let me help you out here.
Super easy gift idea: Take your SlimLine Card set. Wrap up a set in baker's twine. Embellish with DIY tag or Christmas Ephemera. Tah dah! Super pretty. Super easy. Super loved gift idea.
These Neenah SlimLine Cards come in a pack of 10. The card base is 3.5 x 8.5 in dimension. Which includes envelopes to fit. Fun size card base. Super smooth cardstock in basic white. And just ready for some pretty elements to make them look that much more inviting.
But hey...you could add a simple little embellie to the card too. If you wanna. But if not, I think these cards all by themselves would make a fantastic gift.
Shown here, I had a few pieces of some Tim Holtz Ephemera laying around that I added to my tag. Those pieces are no longer available. I will link some other ideas below that I think would work just as well too. The idea is just to add some hang-down pieces to create layers and make it all pretty.
Then there is the idea to embellish your embellishment. Yep. That would be me. Crafter nerd extraordinaire. I added a bit of Smart Glue with my finger to the edge of vellum that I had already stamped with the Holiday Tim Holtz Stamp, and then trimmed it out to size. When the glue was tacky, I rubbed Silver Stars Minc Foil on the edges. It looks sort of gilded doesn't it? I love how it turned out.
So. Santa Claus is coming to town. Help him out a bit. Wrap up card sets for gifts. And make them merry and bright with your own creative touch.
I hope this inspires you to see how easy it is to give thoughtful gifts. We always need cards in our stash. This is just one way to make that happen for someone on your gift list.
