How To Quickly Create a Storytellers Layout

8.06.2021

when the creativity just hits you

Do you ever have a story that lingers in your mind? Compelling you to tell it's story? To use the stuff all around you that you so faithfully gather?

That is how this layout came to fruition.

The photo and others that go with this day were clipped to my mood board.

The stamps from Heidi Swapp's August Release were laying on my work surface vying for my attention.

And well...that Care Free Paper Pad is always staring me down and causing a creative riot in my head.

So here I went.

As I was beginning to go with the idea in my head to pull this single page, single photo layout together, I decided, instead of talking to myself, I would like to talk to my creative, story telling friends instead.

That's you!

There is a full process video plus a telling of all the decisions, oh...AND mistakes, that went into this page.
Seriously...I figured maybe someone could benefit from my creative mental ramblings and want to maybe pull this page together too.

OR...maybe you need some affirmation as to the why and wherefores of putting a scrapbook page together.

People tell me I make it look so easy.

Listen, sister...I have been doing this a LLOONNGG time...

I think about pages and stories ALL the time.

I write stories every night.

There is plenty of content to support the need to make.

My hope is that you don't just think I make it look easy. The hope is that you watch the process video and see that there are plenty of mistakes. There are different ways a page can go. But most of all...

Most of all...

I want for you to have fun and enjoy the process. Come get creative with me and enjoy it.

It does not have to take hours and hours to make a page. Especially with the size of the Storytellers and Storyline Chapters pages I am making so much of these days.

It does not even have to use a lot of product. You probably have so much of what I am already using, or could substitute this or that.

Come explore the possibilities with me in this video today:

And then do me a favor...if you craft a similar page, or were simply inspired to make after watching, post your work and tag me up. I would love to see what you are up to.

If you post on Instagram you can tag me @jamiepate

Now, last thing...tell me below what you would like to see by way of a quick layout? What are your questions or challenges? Let me and our other creative friends hear from you.

That would be awesome.
