It's here!

It's here!

The official OFFICIAL start to the Christmas season.

Advent is Sunday.

And today is that American made up holiday we call Black Friday.

I know a lot of my friends endeavor to get all the shopping done today. And why not? All the best sales are today, am I right?

While I love...and I mean LOVE fall and Thanksgiving and all that goes with those beautiful events, I also love Christmas and am so happy that what I put off until today can start happening. Today.

I will get the front tree up and decorated.

I will turn on the Christmas tunes.

We will watch our first Christmas movie tonight.

I will begin to wrap my acquired gifts.

And...

AND...

I get to share this free gift with you!

Today at ScrapbookCom they are offering a free gift of both the Rudolph Red and the Holly Green Pops of Color.

Yep!

Both.

You can find that link to that gift right HERE.

This week while pies were baking and what not I pulled out both the colors of Pops and using stencils on hand added the color to some texture paste and just played.

No real make in mind. Just 3x4 heavy cardstock, Pops of Color, Stencils, and anything else that struck my fancy.

Because. Tags. You will always need tags.

I also grabbed all the Christmas stamps and played with color and image and ideas. You never know what makes you can make until you pull out the things and just see what comes of it.

At the same time, I found I needed to reorganize my craft stash specifically for Christmas. So I did that too. But that's for another post. Sorry. I digress.

Oh...and you know what else I did?

I used the Distress Tinsel Glitter and sprinkled some on a few of the Pops of Color before it dried. Yeah. That was fun. Loved that look and will be keeping that tinsel nearby just for this idea again.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Let's celebrate the 'official' start of the season. Play some music. Decorate a tree. Make a tag. Wrap a gift.

It's the most wonderful time of the year.
