Five Ways with New Stamps | Heidi Swapp Shop December Release

new stamps are in the house

It's the most wonderful time of the month:

New Heidi Swapp Stamp Release is today.

Two new stamps have just hit the shop:

This one is called January Captions. Which is a super exciting stamp as it ushers in a new style of the previous Monthly Stamps. I love all the sayings and quotes and the different fonts. The whole vibe is not only a great way to usher in a new month and year, but also will be a useful stamp for all occasions in one's card making and storytelling and memory planning. More on this one later.

This stamp set is called Caption Numbers. It is a gorgeous stamp set. The numbers are a bit taller than 3-inches! Right!?! These make for great impact in one's storytelling or date marking or whatever the numbers are prompting. Today I want to share in this post five ways I am using these new number stamps. I focused on the numbers as they are super useful for right now. Then I threw in a smattering of the January Captions. That stamp for sure will be getting a lot of use in the days to come.

IN A PLANNER

Ok...so the above image does not look like it is actually in my planner. Here's the thing: I made a mistake in my new 2022 planner. So I have to cover up the first opening page. I chose a pattern from the Art Walk collection to use as my now title page to that planner.
You can see I lined off the paper so that I could center the 2022 with the stamps as much as was possible. A bit of stamping collage was added in black with the January Captions stamp. This, though, could have been done with any phrase or word or statement stamps. Wow those numbers are amazing!

ON A TAG

Of course using numbers on a tag is nothing new. Kerri Bradford owns the creative market on that one. That girl...but I digress. This was a super easy tag to craft. What, with the impact of such a large stamp it did not take much to make. I used a paper from the Heidi Swapp Christmas Paper and added the 12-25 with Bundled Sage. The hyphen is the period from the set. Joy and the branches are from the Christmas Wreath set that was from last year. Still available now and well worth having.  One could craft out a whole bunch of these tags before the end of watching Elf!

WITH A GRID

Hello grid! You knew that grid was going to find it's way with the large numbers. Pretty sure the ideas are endless with the combination of the Storytellers Grid stamp set and the Caption Numbers set. Don't say you weren't warned.

BY WORDS

Oh yeah...One Little Word, here we go. Obviously this is just one idea. But I have to admit I did have fun with the number placement and the words on the perpendicular. This would be great for a count your blessings prompt. Or a countdown tag set. And let's not ignore the possibilities in a December Album!

The alpha is from the 4x6 Blue Skies Stamp Set

FOR A YEAR

Birthdays. Anniversaries. Grades. Graduation dates. You get the idea, right? I mean. Thinking through this stamp set is super fun. The ideas come easy. And the numbers are going to create such impact.

I hope you have been inspired by my five ideas for this stamp set. I know. Pretty obvious. But I had to share. Wanted to share. And now I need to stamp.
