3 Ideas to Explore on the Page | Scrapbooking

It's the most wonderful time of the year.

After a looooong and hard winter...

after a rainy spring that seemed it would never stop...

the season has finally decided to change and be summer like.

I love summer because the air is warm, the days are long, and it all beckons one to get outside. And explore.

The seasons are very powerful in a creative way. I tend to want to stay within the vibe of the season I am currently living, and tell the stories that fit that time. Even if they are tomes from last year. Which is exactly what these pages are. This is one of our most favorite hikes here in the springs. It's not well known and off the familiar path. So it's also sure to be quiet. And provides lots of time to explore.

For these pages (which are terribly inspired by the lessons found in Heidi Swapp's Set Sail Online Class) I was completely inspired by new Bold Letters Alpha Stamps that arrived recently at ScrapbookCom. This new set is unpacked in an unboxing video I will leave for you right HERE. The letters are tall at just about 2 1/4 inches in height. Making quite an impact on a page like this. And I am here for it!

I used Evergreen Bough in Distress Oxide as it was a wonderful compliment to that little checked paper from the Heidi Swapp Set Sail Collection. Also used was the Misti Stamp Platform. It was super easy to line the letters up to make an almost straight line. The Misti is so helpful not so much to gain perfection, as you can see I left some of my letters distressed, but to help with the placement. It's just a fantastic tool in my little o' opinion.

Another style coming in here strong are parts and pieces from 49 and Markets Everywhere papers and ephemera and rub-ons. I have been hoarding this paper since I got it weeks ago. I knew I wanted to tell these get out and about type stories (plus a travel story that is antsy to get out of my camera roll too). This collection is SOOOOO good and perfect for any type of vacation or staycation or even an album ode to restaurant hopping in your town.

OK...last thing I want to tout here, this page, as said previously, is ode to the Heidi Swapp Storytellers V. 5 Set Sail class. And yep, you said it, not a sail page in sight in this Storytellers/Storyline Chapters album.

Which is just the thing about an online album class. The lessons are solid ideas for crafting pages in a Storyteller or Storyline Chapters insert. And the ideas can be used over and over again. OR different. Or smaller. Or whatever. That's the thing about a class like that which stays in your account forever. Just take the ideas, whether the theme matches your pages or not, and run with it. I love that!!!

So, I hope this post today encourages you to explore more around you no matter what the season you may find yourself in. To use large stamps to create impactful titles. And...AND!!! to take advantage of online classes that inspire lots and lots of pages that tell your story.
