it's work space wednesday

Have you heard of a Stash N Stow Art Journal before?

Today we are going to unpack just what exactly that is.

It's a new thing.

Brand new as of the making of this project here today.

So let's go and see what this brain has conjured up.

Here was the challenge. I'm in the middle of not one, but several art journals. Art journaling is a sort of hobby for me. It's not something I teach, well...OK...maybe I do today. More on that in a bit. But for the most part it is just a place to dabble and play and glue stuff down and paint. You get the idea.

So then...this new organizer was sent to me by ScrapbookCom. And I was like...hmm...I am in need of a better way to organize the art journal supplies. I wonder if this would work?

Because this Stash N Stow organizer is actually a really sweet situation.

It comes with 4 trays.

These 4 trays lock into place in this stack.

Two of the trays include a divided tray. I am using one of the trays for ribbons and is stored in 'the closet'.  The second tray is holding a plethora of extra die cut papers that are just a treasure trove for art journaling.

Hey friends...when you shop the links in this blog I receive a small kick back from your sales from ScrapbookCom and Heidi Swapp Shop. There is absolutely no extra cost to you at all! But these commissions help to cover the costs of this blog to provide you with project ideas. I want to continue to bring you FREE inspiration. Shopping these links allows me to do just that. I can't thank you enough for your love and continued support. Also, the opinions expressed in my blog and my YouTube Channel and all social platforms are independently my own.

The top lid has a handle. Thus the Stow. Once all the things are stashed inside these trays, one can just grab and go. Hence the name. Stash N Stow.

What happened next was the challenge that you can see played out in the process video of this project. The idea was to see if I could stow away art journaling supplies, then just work from inside the bins. I almost did it! You can see that in the video. Came so close.

For the most part the challenge was met and I found that yes! I can stow away items I need. A sort of limiting myself, if you will, which is always good for the creativity. To make the art journal page that is shown in this blog post, I only used what was in the Stash N Stow bins. Now, I can grab the organizer and head to the patio table, or to our front room big table where everyone likes to gather. Or to the park for that matter! There is absolutely everything I need to make several pages + room for even more supplies.
