As a paper craft artist, having the right supplies at your fingertips is crucial to creating beautiful and inspiring projects. Whether you’re traveling, attending a crafting workshop, or simply moving from room to room in your house, a well-organized craft caddy can be your best friend.

In this post, we'll explore the essential supplies every paper craft artist should have and how a Craft Caddy can make crafting on the go a breeze.

Let's dive into some essential supplies that every paper craft artist should have at the ready:

1. Paper

Mixed Media paper is my friend. June is going to hold an emphasis on June Art Journaling. Which is why this girl is always reaching for Mixed Media Paper. Whether I am creating die cut frames, labels, or embellished cluster foundations, this medium is my friend. It takes ink like crazy. It holds the variety of direct to paper, smooshing, block coloring, and even all manner of stenciling.

Pattern paper and other variety of cardstock finds home on my projects too. However, for a dive into art journaling, and keeping it simple when on the move, I am here for that Mixed Paper for sure.

Not only is the right paper an essential, but I am fast a fan of the new Arden Creative Studio 4x6 Stitched Journal. This baby fits super easy into the to-go caddy. It may just replace the Mixed Media paper when I am headed out the door. We shall see.

2. Cutting Tools

If you have been around for even a minute you know that I am always reaching for a good Trimmer that also doubles as a score tool. It's just how this girl rolls. Scissors. One cannot have too many scissors. Is there such thing as a scissors collector? And if I am on the go, while the large trimmer may not find it's way in the supplies, the scissors, the craft knife and a cutting mat will for sure be in the mix. (I like to use a Magic Mat for an on the go cutting mat. Pink anyone?)

3. Adhesives

I may or may not gush about certain adhesives. Because here's the thing: needful! How in the world are we to cluster the embellishments without the right adhesives? I'll answer that...we won't.

Yes. I am a fan of the hot glue gun. If you have attended recent online classes I have taught you the truth of that. But when I am on the go the glue gun does not usually come with.

My favs?

Foam Adhesive Squares

Dotted Adhesive Roller

Double Sided Adhesive Rolls

These are all compact. And travel well. So don't get stuck with out these paper artist essentials!

4. Inky Things

Inks. Distress Spritz. Paint. To include Ink Blending Brushes. Paint Brushes. Stamp blocks. Can I just say how I love that this new Craft Caddy holds all these things so beautifully. Not to mention even a roll of Crafty Clean Up Cloths. HOLDS. THEM. ALL!!!

5. Embellishments.

I also take along several Clear Craft Storage boxes that hold ephemera pieces like laser cuts and vellum elements. And even previously die cut frames, sprigs and even butterflies. One is not traveling with a die cutting machine. It's easy enough to store these pieces in these boxes which easily slip right into the Crafty Caddy. I'm a fan!

Packages of rub ons plus 6x8 stencils are fitting in too. As one can never be without the rub ons.

So that is a basic run down on basic supplies that are with me on the go and fit beautifully in this Caddy. It's such a great addition to a portable life style I am currently finding myself living. It allows such easy transport of my favorite and most used supplies so I don't miss a beat if I am out and about.
