It seems with the arrival of fall a fresh sense of creativity has arrived with it. Christmas, a mere three months away, also brings to light the brainstorming of gifts and the want to make spirits bright for the ones we love.  It's a wonderful time to be an exerciser of creativity. To put that energy into making with our hands and seeing beautiful outcomes.Whether in our art journals. Our gifts made for others. Or even a handmade book that continues to inspire ideas and creativity.

And did you know?

That with the fourth installment of THE COLLECTED BOOK series now in place, you have what is practically an hours worth of mini book making over on the channel?

A project that incapsulates all that was said in the opening paragraph.

This mini book is a fresh and fallish creative endeavor that will make for even more sparks of inspiration for even more ideas to come.

It's a strong contender for a gift to make with your own hands and give to friends, co-workers, and even family this gift giving season.

It's a project maker that is an exercise in creativity. For it is a most fabulous book to make simply for the want and love of making.

And...(but wait...there's more)...and - I can almost guarantee that the making of THE COLLECTED BOOK and the layers of ideas that are found in said book will create for you energy that beautifully comes from the making with our hands the beautiful things.

Can I tell you something? Having come out of a self imposed difficult season of life, I think this September project sort of kind of saved me. Nah...I do not mean in a salvation of my soul way. That's already been done! I mean in a saving of my love for creativity. This project, dare I say, has been magical. The thinking about it, the crafting of it, the additional layers, the art pages in this week's installment, has brought a fresh making energy into my life. I. Am. So. Grateful.

Here's the thing: I had to meet it half way.

I had to block out time in my calendar.

I had to have some organization on the studio table so that I 'felt' like making.

I had to set the phone down and put it to silence and stop all that nonsense. (oops...was that my outside voice?)

I had to take a deep breathe. I had to dive in and allow creative flow to do what creative flow does.

So with that, I present to you THE COLLECTED BOOK Part 4: Artful Pages. Very easy and doable and beautiful additions to the original COLLECTED BOOK. But don't be fooled. These are sparks! Sparks of even more creativity. And they are yours for the making.
