Easter table decoration how-to
I wonder if Easter gets a little forgotten amongst the holidays. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years are such festive times of year. The gift giving. The family gathering. The merry making.
Then there's Easter.
A very solemn of holidays for the faith based world for sure.
But for me, it's such a celebratory time. It's a day full of light and love and thankfulness and celebration.
I for one don't want Easter to be forgotten.
In our family the holidays are rotated.
Thanksgiving is at my parents home.
Christmas is spent at my sister and brother-in-laws.
And Easter?
Easter is mine.
It's really the first time of the year that I change up the decoration in a real way.
I open up my home.
I invite all the family as well as neighbors to sit and and enjoy seasonal food all together.
We bake all the desserts we save for just the spring. The trifle. The poppyseed cake. The lemon bars. And I endeavor to create a beautiful environment to not only celebrate the life of Christ, but to also be together and connect after a long winter's hibernation.
One way that I decorate is by using Heidi Swapp Letterboard.
These boards are always a surprise and delight to visitors.
What can seem like a simple addition to a dessert bar, these lettered boards of words, menus, and quotes, are a delight to guests. Simply elegant. They set the stage to creating a bit of wow factor and focal point to a room.
Besides the Letterboards, vases of flowers, bottles of lemonade, and cake stands of desserts craft the ambiance of delight and delicious. It's always a welcoming sight to come across this as one enters the dining room.
Easter is all kinds of things to all people. But for me? It's a very worshipful day along with family, friends and food. A nice little way to officially kick off the season of spring. And made a little extra special with Letterboards adorning the space.
