diy gift old school style
Well, for some of us it's back to school...
Odd time, no?
In the spirit of things I wanted to think a little forward.
Making a few little teacher gifts for GOING back to school might be just the thing to encourage teachers.
I know my youngest's school...those teachers cannot wait to get back to the classroom.
I wanted to let them know in a simple way that I was that thankful for them and their service.
This DIY gift is not a new idea. As a matter of fact I think that Heidi has mastered this concept.
Using a selection of the new Old School PaperLine I went to craft a little scrap book. Just a little bound book for jotting notes. I know I personally love having these around. You know, for the random thoughts that come up.
A happy accident was not only having this very positive message front and center: Good Vibes, but also that the little book was strong enough to stand up. So it makes like this little visual reminder for the teacher's desktop. I may be having a hard time giving this one away.
For this book I added a little notched tag at the top. And then tied on one of the new Old School Charms. That pink cord comes with the charm set. I really loved how this came together. I think the charm finishes it off nicely.
I went to make another jotter with a different color hue. Watch my IGTV channel. This will publish very soon. These books are easy to make. But I wanted to give a video guide so that you too could not only have a play at Old School, but also craft a simple but thoughtful gift. These aren't just only for teachers. These would make great hostess gifts. Birthday gifts. Or neighbor gifts just because.
