perfect flowers every time

It's become fairly clear to me that there are a lot of fans of dies. Metal dies that cut flowers or butterflies or hearts, or what have you. Skies the limit, right?

The thing with dies is that they pretty much never lose their value. They are not consumable. And if we take the time to file them away in an organized fashion, then they are always at the ready for whatever making we have in mind.

Not to mention probably the best aspect of a die? it cuts perfectly every time.

Like these mini sunflowers here.

This making session had me cutting out these paper pieces using the flower die in which I made several different variations on a 3x4 card front. (Those ideas will be coming soon) At the time of this writing this Mini Sunflower Emboss and Die Set is a free gift at ScrapbookCom. Oh...did I mention it embosses as well? Well then, that is even more perfecter!

Hey friends...when you shop the links in this blog I receive a small kick back from your sales from ScrapbookCom and Heidi Swapp Shop. There is absolutely no extra cost to you at all! But these commissions help to cover the costs of this blog to provide you with project ideas. I want to continue to bring you FREE inspiration. Shopping these links allows me to do just that. I can't thank you enough for your love and continued support. Also, the opinions expressed in my blog and my YouTube Channel and all social platforms are independently my own.

Quick run down on how this was made.

Using the Sunshine Paper Pad I embossed several of the colors of paper with the Tim Holtz Sizzix Woven Embossing folder

Those were then cut into strips and adhered to a card front. As mentioned above, these measure only about 3x4 inches.

Then, using the Mini Sunflower Emboss and Die Set, I cut out flowers from pre-made backgrounds. See THIS post here to discover how the backgrounds were made.

The sunflower was popped up on the card front using double sided foam adhesive circles. For these cards here the sentiments hail from the ScrapbookCom Black and White Sticker Book.

The set includes 4 die pieces. I used all the pieces in the making of these perfect flowers. But clearly, different combinations of layering these cut outs could make for a couple different die cut flower compositions.

Oh...and did I mention this die set is FREE (while supples last) as a customer appreciation over at the ScrapbookCom? Go get it now!!! she says with much excitement.

You can see here I also added a leaf from the die set Cozy Foliage. Finding all kinds of reasons to use that set.

OK...so...as the saying goes, it does not have to be perfect to be beautiful. But gosh darn it if these happy dies don't help us to make at least some of the making perfect. Here for that! Here for tools that offer many uses and many ideas for the making of the pretty stuff.
