new class now available
For years, and literally decades now, I have been keeping a December Album. I mean, we are talking early on when my first albums were 100% digital. December Albums just might be at the core of my documenting and making as they were early precursors to some serious story telling.
Why?
Because my heart really wanted to invite moments of deep memory into my life. December and Christmas really stood out as wanting to remember tradition, and moments, events and everything else the season would bring.
Christmas. Yes. Maybe Christmas seems obvious.
However, December Albums have evolved. Just like SO much of my work, into something a little bit more.
And that excites me and my outlook.
And so, with Christmas, I think there is a part of us that looks to slow it all down a bit. To be more intentional with what always seems to be a short season. All the lights and glitter and starry night of it all seems to slip past us in our hurried-ness and we can be left wondering what just happened.
In response to that I started to rethink what it was I wanted from a December Album. Did I want to keep up every day? Did I want it focused on a lot of things? Or a few things? Was it all to be the event of the day itself only? Or rather, did I want to bring the entire emotion and experience into a space that I would revisit as the years go by?
The last question is what kept hanging in the air of my thinking. So then, I started to shift in how I curated the feelings of Christmas.
It is what I now hold in my hands, STORYED DECEMBER.
I began to limit myself. Sometimes subtraction is actually better than addition. I began to hone in on the question: what stories do I really want to tell? And tell well?
This then evolved into about ten stories, give or take a story or two, because you know...there's always that cute holiday cup from Starbucks.
This all happened in my own journey of slow. Slow Living. Learning what it is to slow down. That word learning is the operative word. I am still learning it. But thankful for it at the same time.
Slow living was what I wanted to invite into these December Albums. My hope too is that you will feel the invite to slow down. To be intentional. To have an album ready for the stories you really want to tell. To be present and mindful in the season. To balance the pace a little more than usual, perhaps.
So then, welcome to STORYED DECEMBER 2026
A page and mini album-journal kind of class. This album will be filled with artful details and the beauty of the season. Interactive pages. Layered tags. Embellished pockets. Plenty of room for story + photo. You know, all the things our creativity loves.
This class is a step-by-step guide to telling the stories of December in a creatively inspiring way. But also a way that invites slowing down.
Let's connect with the stories that matter to us most.
