Outside my window...wind, wind...and more wind.

I am thinking...about sewing projects...getting to the fab store.

I am thankful for... time to think, plan, be inspired.

From the kitchen...the kiddos are finishing their lunch, talking sweetly together. joy!

I am wearing... black turtle neck, jeans, borne shoes. my daily uniform.

I am creating...time to sew.

I am going...to the library today with the girlies...and then the fabric store. but you knew that.

I am reading... The Spellbinder's Gift~Og Mandino

I am hoping...for clarity in certain situations.

I am hearing...Ingrid Michaelson on the playlist.

Around the house...school books everywhere.

One of my favorite things...is hearing my girls giggle at one another. pure joy!

A few plans for the rest of the week: sewing. baking. date night. kids gym day. visit with a long distance friend.

also this past weekend...
along with sewing projects underway in my studio, i have still been enjoying scrap-crafting. and really loving the whole layered thing. these are some fairly old scraps and it is so fulfilling to make something beautiful out of them.

Outside my window...grey and cloudy and rainy all day. I don’t live in Seattle for a reason, and this would be it. I just don’t look good in grey!

I am thinking...about Trish’s blog post today…lots.

I am thankful for...an evening ahead of me in my studio…even if the dang phone is ringing right now.

From the kitchen...my kids and I made chocolate covered oreos today…snort…like an oreo needs that!

I am wearing...my fav green t-shirt…the one with that little useless pocket.

I am creating...for me tonight.

I am going...to continue to pursue peace in joy in our schooling experience.

I am hoping...tomorrow’s weather is the mid-80 degrees that weather man says it’s suppose to be. (are you detecting a hint of bitterness?)

Around the house...is sort of messy…sort of not.

One of my favorite things...is watching my beautiful children change and grow right before my eyes every single day.

A few plans for the rest of the week: bbq at friends…library…several online orders need to be placed…a whole lot of kids over for the night on Friday evening…with grilled pizzas on the patio…my daughter and i serving together saturday at church...love that!

My favorite photos today: hmmm…I keep so not including my favorite photo…but maybe it actually is as it is the sign of an artist at work, even in her otherwise busy life…you tell me.

Outside my window...84 degrees, sunny and breezy. Just beautiful.

I am thinking...about my girls and helping them through their challenges.

I am thankful for...so very, very much. I am abundantly blessed.

From the kitchen...chicken baking in the crock pot getting ready for Mexican Chicken Soup for dinner.

I am wearing...long shorts and the t shirt from today's VBS.

I am creating...birthday presents for Gracie: pj's.

I am going...to make our menu for the week.

I am reading...Heaven by Randy Alcorn; Happiness is a Serious Problem by Dennis Prager; Beth Moore's Psalms of Ascent.

I am hoping...we can get all our yard projects done before family visits in 2 weeks.

I am hearing...KRLA radio online. I miss So Cal.

Around the house...the older kids are working on a puzzle in the dining room right where all my sewing stuff is out. Sort of messy. But it is a well used home, and that makes one joyful.

One of my favorite things...our great summer meals of late on the patio. So satisfying and the yard is so beautiful right now. Most especially the fresh greens from our garden, they are just so good this year.
